Singer ~ Songwriter
One of Johnstown's most dynamic female vocalists, Jackie’s ability to get lost in her music allows her audiences to do the same. Always a solo artist, Jackie released one EP, Letting Go, and one full-length album, Far From Here, both of original music, before teaming up with Walt Churchey in 2009. Together, Walt & Jackie has been performing throughout the Laurel Highlands, with highlight shows including the Flood City Music Fest, Garrett Lakes Arts Festival, and headlining several shows at the Pasquerilla Performing Arts Center including a locally popular holiday show for several years.
In 2019, Jackie transitioned out of her regular day job and into daytime performances in local nursing homes and retirement facilities in addition to her gigs with Walt. It was an incredibly fulfilling move, but the pandemic in 2020 separated her from wonderful folks in the homes. Stay tuned for her project aimed at serving these lovely people from the "outside."
Jackie always believed that her original music would work well in TV and Film, and so in 2020 she enrolled in a songwriting for sync training course with Catch The Moon Music (Cathy Heller and John Clinebell). The course hit around the same time as the COVID-19 pandemic, and so while everybody's world was changing, Jackie's music was also changing. Fully immersed in the course, Jackie began writing emotional, intelligent music that works perfectly for sync, and connecting with engineers, producers and other songwriters to help bring them to life.
Jackie has performed throughout Pennsylvania, from Pittsburgh to Lancaster, as well as throughout the Orlando, FL area.
